Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the lead Player In The Broadway production of Stephen Schwartz's cult musical of 1972 "Pippin". Directed by Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus, and also featuring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th Annual Tony Awards. Patina created her own modern version of the award-winning Ben Vereen's role and was able to master the Fosse moves that are so essential to the production. Patina received an Tony Award for Best Performance of an Actress in an Leading Role in a Musical, and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical and also Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award, and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for the role. From December 2012 to December 2012, she was the Leading Player of the American Repertory Theater's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
